Transforming Blood Transfusion and Transplant Services for Improved Health Outcomes in Kenya and the region

The Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service is convening a
conference focusing on blood transfusion and organ transplant science
and practice. This will be the first and unique conference to be held in the
African region concentrating on the health policy, regulatory and practice
ecosystem and its interaction with blood transfusion medicine and the
highly specialized aspects of transplant and regenerative medicine.
This includes a focus on policy, regulation, oversight and leadership at
stewardship levels; quality, safety and efficacy at service delivery level;
and management, health technologies and products, supply chains at
systems levels all supported by strategic private and public partnerships.

Directors Message

DR. NDUKU KILONZO

I welcome all Partners, Stakeholders, Speakers, Panelists, Exhibitors, moderators and the public to the 1st Kenya Blood Transfusion and Transplant Services Conference in Kenya and the region. Highly distinguished speakers and moderators have been strategically identified and invited from the public and private sectors.

The conference is aimed at creating a dialogue and a robust discourse in our region on policy, governance, regulatory frameworks, quality and management systems in blood transfusion and transplant services.

The conference will provide an opportunity to engage public participation, promote behaviour change and adaptation of a blood and organ donation culture that will be passed from generation to generation for a secure and self-sufficient health system for Kenyans and the region.

This conference will also provide a platform for private-public and strategic partnerships to spur technology transfer and medical care investments.

We look forward to hosting all delegates, speakers, panelist and moderators at the conference.

Karibuni Kenya!!!
